Keywords Network
Figure 5.1. The network depicts the times when author keywords co-occurrence within the same document. Each node is a keyword connected by a edge that shows the co-occurrence frequency with other keyword. It has been applied a clusterization analysis using the modularity class of the nodes, represented by the color of the node, and that can be particulary explored with the group selector on the left toolbar of the graph. Also, the size of the nodes are pointing out their Weighted Degree within the network. The keywords were filtered selecting those with a degree of connections over 26, and was deployed using the Fruchterman Reingold algorithm for the layout.
The network has been clusterized by its modularity classes, taking the weights into account. The modularity is the expression of the actual node connections against what would be expected if the network had a ramdon distribution. Let´s explore with more detail the main clusters obtained.
Purple Cluster
It is the central cluster with the most important nodes and strongest connections. It contains the keyword that has the most of the references of the whole data sample -well-being- together with others such as: happiness, positive psychology, mental health, subjective well-being, life satisfaction, health, mindfulness, psychological well-being, positive emotion, resilience, or meaning, among others.
Green Cluster
It is a cluster centered in ethics, clearly dominated by the capablites approach, accompanied by keywords such as nussbaum, social justice, community, equality, human rights, education, liberalism, or agency.
Orange Cluster
It contains the most of the philosophical keywords of the sample, begining with the second most important node of the network, virtue, which is accompanied by: Aristotle, eudaimonia, justice, Thomas Aquinas.
Blue Cluster
It is the smallest cluster very related with the dark green one, since it talks about culture, institutions and inequality; however, it also include values and personal growth, dialoging with the pink cluster. Even culture, as long as it is a source of meaning, is also connected with the pink cluster.
Network Centrality Measures
Table 5.1. Statistic values of the network showing the nodes, their modularity class as well as different centrality values. The table shows the first 50 rows ordered by betweeness centrality measure, which gives more value to the nodes that connect the network with the shortest paths.
